The UCSF Musculoskeletal Center celebrated the summer research cohort with a lunch social on July 23, bringing together high school and undergraduate students as well as trainees from the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery, Medicine, and Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science. The program’s overarching goal is to inspire interest in the health sciences among underrepresented students by equipping them with professional skills, hands-on research experience, and valuable networking opportunities, which ultimately enhances their pathway to success in STEM careers.
We extend our sincere thanks to the faculty and student mentors whose guidance and support made this summer a rewarding experience for all participants. Your mentorship plays a vital role in shaping the future of these aspiring scientists.
