A Skeleton For Cures
Welcome to the UCSF Musculoskeletal Center
Health and justice strengthened by integrated musculoskeletal research
The MSK Center Advances Discovery and Clinical Impact
Bridging the gap between basic and translational musculoskeletal research.
The Center is a hub for MSK research, education, and advocacy.
Promoting collaboration, research funding growth, new investigator trainings, and public engagement.
The MSK Center is a skeleton for integrated research.
Uncovering innovation to transform aging, injury, and disease.

Innovative musculoskeletal research to transform aging, injury, and disease.

The UCSF Musculoskeletal (MSK) Center is an incubator for bold ideas, a hub that nucleates musculoskeletal research, education, and advocacy. This center connects a community of basic, translational, computational, and clinical musculoskeletal investigators with pioneering UCSF investigators across the research spectrum.

We invite your partnership in the transformative mission of the MSK Center. Participate in our efforts to reverse the effects of aging on the musculoskeletal system, to cure arthritis and osteoporosis, and to enhance human performance.

We are encouraging “Blue Sky” thinking, to broaden and deepen the scope of discovery. There is evidence connecting MSK health to cognitive health: could MSK research lead to a cure for Alzheimer’s? What inroads can we make to end disability and skeletal deformity in children, to alleviate health disparities among vulnerable populations.
